Terms & Conditions for Britannia Cars

General Booking Information

All bookings are calculated as starting and ending from a central point in the area we operate. Bank holidays, public holidays, and other peak days may carry an additional charge. Please inquire about applicable rates when booking on such days. Any additional charges such as tolls, car parking, or portage will be added to the final bill at cost price.

Client Responsibility

If the client requests the chauffeur to wait in a location where parking is restricted, any parking fines incurred will be charged to the client. For safety reasons, all large luggage items, including hard cases, must be placed in the boot, and only a reasonable amount of hand luggage may be carried inside the vehicle, subject to the chauffeur’s approval.

Route and Traffic Conditions

Our chauffeurs will choose the best possible route to the destination based on current traffic conditions. While we aim to arrive on time, Britannia Cars cannot be held responsible for any delays due to traffic incidents, road closures, or other unforeseen circumstances that result in missed appointments or travel connections. However, we will make every effort to ensure timely arrivals.

Personal Belongings

Britannia Cars will not be responsible for any personal belongings left in the vehicle. Clients are advised to check for their belongings before exiting the vehicle.

Vehicle Use and Damage

Only Britannia Cars’ chauffeurs are authorized to drive the vehicles. Clients are advised to allow the chauffeur to open the car doors. Any damage caused by the client or their guests to the vehicle, whether inside or out, will be the client’s responsibility. This includes any damage caused while opening doors. In case of such damage, the cost of repair, including any loss of income if the vehicle is out of service, will be charged to the client.

Excess Charges

Fixed rates quoted for journeys are based on the information provided at the time of booking, including hours and miles traveled. Any excess time or additional mileage beyond the quoted amount will be charged at the standard rate.

Smoking, Food, and Drink

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all Britannia Cars vehicles. No food or drink is allowed inside the vehicles unless the chauffeur has granted prior approval.

Gratuity

Tipping is at the client’s discretion. However, if requested, gratuity can be added to the final bill.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled booking will not incur any charges.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking will be charged 50% of the total fare.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the booking will be charged the full fare.
    If a specific vehicle or chauffeur has been requested and a deposit has been paid to secure the service, Britannia Cars reserves the right to retain the deposit in the event of cancellation. Additionally, any costs incurred by Britannia Cars on behalf of the client will be charged in full.

Smoking & Damage

Smoking is not permitted inside any of our vehicles. No food or drink is allowed to be consumed in the vehicles unless approved by the chauffeur. Any damage caused by the client or their guests to the interior or exterior of the vehicle shall be charged to the client, including any loss of earnings if the vehicle has to be removed from service for repairs.
